Best part of story, including ending: I love watching movies about New Yorkers, specially the elite Upper East Siders who live very pampered lives. Best scene in story: The museum intro about moms around the world taking care of their offspring. Opinion about the main character: I like Annie's spunk, and her determination to just get through the day after suffering from Mrs. X's demands.
I imagine that when this book becomes a movie (and I’m sure it will) they will change the ending to make it more triumphant. They shouldn’t. It’s not as though a mere nanny, even “Nanny,” could really change any of these people. Thus the rather depressed feeling when I finished the book. Still, I enjoyed it, and certainly found it.
